Wooden plate, round, elm, 22 cm diameter, 22 mm thickness
Wooden plates are very natural commodities and have been in use since time immemorial. The cleaning is best done with a brush with warm water and some dish soap. Then let it dry carefully, so do not place it in the sun. It is best to place the natural wood plate upright in a warm place where the air can circulate all around. The wooden boards are oiled and thus easy to clean. Cleaning in the dishwasher should not be done, because the wood absorbs too much water and deforms during subsequent drying and cracks might be formed. It is scientifically proven that wood reduces germs when used properly and is therefore not more unhygienic than various plastics. The cutting edge of the kitchen knives and cutlery knives is not demaged. For wood lovers, of course, a product of a rather rare wood, that of the elm, is a special pleasure. These elmwood plates fit perfectly into a rustic dining room.
The offered plates are of elm wood and ash wood
Elmwood is a precious wood, which is hard, tough, impact and pressure resistant. In the past, longbows, rims, wheels, spokes and car bodies were manufactured from elmwood. Nowadays this valuable wood is used for veneer, furniture, gun shafts, parquet and paneling.
Ash is hard, tough, elastic, impact and pressure resistant. This precious wood is used for everything where high tensile and bending strength is desired, e.g. for sports equipment and tools. In the past, longbows, skis, rims, wheels, spokes and car bodies were made of ash. This valuable wood is also suitable for veneers, furniture, rifle shafts, parquet, tool handles, shovel handles, kitchen utensils, wooden boards and panels and much more.
The elmwood plates and ash wood plates are handmade in Tyrol.
